A set of 3D-printed resin figures of Russian Air Force pilots in 1:72 scale from Temp Models, carried as set number 7. The figures are modeled from real photographs and will complete a model on the flight line as well as a whole diorama. It is not an aircraft model but the crew without which a scene looks empty.
A small scale places particular demands on a figure: a figure a little over two centimeters tall has to be recognizable at first glance, so what decides are the silhouette and the proportions, not the detail of the face. The gear of flight personnel meets that halfway, because it is varied in itself: the harness, the hose of the oxygen mask and the helmet give a figure a recognizable outline even from a distance.
The parts are held only by the thin supports from the print. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks with fine abrasive paper and protect your airway while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay a thin coat of primer under the paint. Shadows in the folds and light edges will do more service in a small scale than an attempt at fine detail.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
