A casting of the CFM International CFM56-7B turbofan engine in 1:72 scale from the Simply Engine range. A simplified resin set for models of airliners.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from LACI brings the engine nacelle of the CFM56-7B turbofan unit in the large 1:72 scale. The Simply Engine range is built on a simplified breakdown of parts: the aim is a faithful external shape without having to assemble dozens of small pieces, so the set can be finished more quickly than fully detailed engine accessories.
The CFM56-7B is a turbofan engine from the CFM International consortium, a joint venture of an American and a French manufacturer. It was created in the second half of the 1990s for the modernized generation of Boeing 737 series airliners and is among the most widespread civil engines of all. Its most striking feature is the flattened lower part of the nacelle, forced on it by the small distance between the wing and the ground on this type of aircraft.
Rid the resin of grease in lukewarm water with detergent, or every fingerprint will show on the smooth skin of the nacelle. Cut the sprue gates off and level the surfaces wet. The outer cowling of the nacelle tends to be very glossy on the real subject, so it pays to polish the surface before spraying. Apply metallic shades only at the very end, because they are hard to mask and are easily scratched.
The package consists of cast parts of the engine. The aircraft, paints and glue are not supplied with it.
