The Opel Blitz was the most widespread German truck of the Second World War. It carried supplies, towed trailers, served as a chassis for bodies of the most varied purposes and appears on practically every front the German army reached. On a model of the vehicle the wheels are conspicuous if only because they determine how the whole vehicle stands and how it sits on a base.
The package contains a set of wheels for the Opel Blitz in 1:35 scale intended as a replacement for the parts from a plastic kit. Separately cast wheels tend to be sharper around their perimeter and without the mold seam that has to be laboriously sanded down on two-part plastic wheels.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry perfectly, or the paint will not hold on the tires. Try the seating on the hub dry, and if need be widen the hole with a drill until the wheel sits without force. When gluing, see that the vehicle stands straight and that all the wheels touch the base. Paint the tires separately from the rims, as a dark gray shade looks more believable than black.
The set is suitable for modelers of military vehicles who want to improve the most visible detail of a vehicle without a large intervention in the build. The model of the vehicle, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
