A yellow shade from the Gunze Mr.Color range put together for Gundam kits, listed under the name RX-78 Yellow.
Responsibility details are not available.
RX-78 Yellow is the yellow from the Gunze Mr.Color range that the maker put together for Gundam kits. The name refers to the RX-78 robot, whose color scheme rests on white, blue, red and yellow; in the same range you will therefore also find bottles of RX-78 White, RX-78 Blue and RX-78 Red. The shade is mixed so that it holds together with them on one model, so you do not have to hunt among generic yellows or mix it up from several bottles.
Yellow is one of the worst covering shades of all. Over a dark base you will be applying it in several light coats, and a light base underneath it pays off; a single heavy coat does not solve the problem, it only clogs the detail and the edges. Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, because settled pigment shifts both the tone and the covering power.
The composition of the paint is not stated here, so go by the information on the box: use the thinner intended for this range and keep to the thinning ratio the maker prescribes. Clean the airbrush and the brushes with the same thinner, and do it right after work rather than once the paint has dried. Work in a ventilated space and store the bottle tightly closed, so that the paint does not thicken and the shade stays the same on your next model.
For builders of robots of the Gundam family who want to go beyond colored plastic and paint the whole model, and for anyone looking for a deep yellow for science fiction subjects. Thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
