The set of covers and plugs for the Su-33 1:32 is a 3D printed resin set of covers and plugs of the kind fitted to a parked Su-33 aircraft, in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains 3D printed resin covers and plugs for a parked model of the Su-33 carrier-borne fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory that turns a model standing still into a machine parked between sorties. The print holds the soft-looking shapes of the covers as well as the small tie-down straps.
On a carrier-borne aircraft blanking off the openings matters even more than at a land base, because the machine stands in a salty and damp environment. The air intakes, the nozzles, the pressure probes and the electro-optical windows are all covered. The covers tend to be of strikingly colored fabric or plastic and carry flags, so that nobody overlooks them before a flight. In pictures of machines on the deck of an aircraft carrier they are an unmissable detail.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Number the small parts before you cut them off the supports, because once separated they are easily mixed up.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
