A resin set of landing gear legs for a model of the two-seat Su-30 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. For the sets in this series the manufacturer states printing from a strong polymer reinforced with steel pins, and the extended position with the lines, the landing lights and a fender picked out. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement parts for your own model.
The Su-30 is a heavy two-seat machine of the Su-27 family whose takeoff weight grew against the single-seat predecessor: it carries a second crew member, more fuel and a wider armament. The landing gear therefore works at the limit of what it can do and it is massive, full of hydraulics and struts. A model in 1:48 scale is heavy in itself as well, so thin plastic legs will bend under it in time.
Release the parts from the supports with a scalpel and level the mating faces. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the legs before fitting and bring the lines out with a dark tone run into the recesses. A faint oil weep suits the area around the shock struts, and runway dust the lower parts.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
