The unguided S-24B rocket in 1:72 is a printed stores accessory for models of Soviet and Russian combat aircraft. An airplane model it is not.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on armament set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, printed from photopolymer. The contents are an improved version of the heavy unguided aircraft rocket of 240 millimeter caliber. The set fills out the stores of a finished kit and does not make up an aircraft model on its own.
The S-24B is the later form of the Soviet heavy unguided aircraft rocket of 240 millimeter caliber, meant for destroying equipment and troops. Because of its length and weight it is carried one round at a time on its own launcher, not in a rocket pod. A set of surfaces at the rear stabilizes it. It was carried by ground-attack aircraft, fighter-bombers and attack helicopters and served in the Soviet Air Force for decades.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
