Figures of pilots in the high-altitude maritime suit in 1:72 scale, set number 10 are 3D-printed figures from Temp Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of 3D-printed resin figures in 1:72 scale from Temp Models, carried as set number 10. The abbreviation in the name refers to the high-altitude maritime survival outfit, that is the gear in which crews fly over the sea. It is not an aircraft model but the crew for it and for a diorama.
Flying over the sea places different demands on gear than flying over land. The pilot has to survive even an emergency landing on the water, so the suit protects against hypothermia in cold water and is completed by means for staying afloat. The outfit is bulkier and shaped differently than an ordinary flight suit, which can be told well on a figure: the figure looks more massive and has a more pronounced collar and cuffs.
The parts are held only by the thin supports from the print. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks with fine abrasive paper and protect your airway while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay a thin coat of primer under the paint. High-altitude suits tend to be strikingly colorful, so a figure will stand out well in a deck scene.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
