Aber Engrave plate (140 x 39 mm) - pattern 15 is an etched brass die with a repeated pattern, which serves to impress surface textures into thin foil when building your own parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling aid, not a kit. The brass plate measuring 140 x 39 mm carries over its whole face a precisely etched, regularly repeating relief, which the maker lists under the designation pattern 15. The plate works as a die: thin material laid on it is pressed through and takes over its texture. It is made by the Polish firm Aber, known for photo-etched and turned accessories for plastic models.
In making floors, platforms, panels, cover plates and industrial detail, in modifying the cargo beds of military vehicles and in dioramas and railway modeling. An impressed texture has real depth, so once painted it responds well to a dry brush and to a wash and looks truer than a merely indicated surface.
For modelers who make some of their parts themselves and want the texture of a surface under control. The plate is durable and reusable; bought once, it serves for an unlimited number of impressions.
The etched edges of the brass can be sharp - handle with care and keep out of the reach of small children. Foil, glue and paints are not included in the package.
