Aber Engrave plate (88 x 57 mm) – pattern 05 is a brass embossing plate serving as a form for impressing a regular texture into thin foil. An aid for the modeling workshop, not a part for a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brass plate with etched pattern number 05 from the Polish firm Aber. It serves as a die on which you make textured sheet with your own hands: you lay the thin material on, burnish it and the pattern is transferred. The working area is 88 x 57 mm without the frame. This is workshop equipment that you will use across projects.
On aircraft models a gentler transfer tends to suit, because too deep a relief looks overdone in a small scale. Try the strength of the pressure out first on an offcut of the same material. Glue the finished piece on with contact adhesive or cyanoacrylate glue, and with metal foil never with cement for plastic, which will not hold on metal. You will bring the texture out with a dark wash that flows into the recesses and with light drybrushing across the edges.
For aircraft modelers and modelers of vehicles who want to push the realism of surfaces further, and for anyone who would rather make a part than hunt for a ready-made one. The plate pays off above all when you need the same texture over and over on several builds.
This is a modeling tool, not a kit. Foil and paints are not included in the package.
