F-15 DARK GREY (MOD EAGLE) FS 36176 – AIR

F-15 Dark Grey (Mod Eagle) FS 36176 – AIR (17 ml)

A water-thinnable acrylic from the AK 3rd Generation Acrylics range for an airbrush, 17 ml. It atomizes like a lacquer, but it is thinned with water or with AK acrylic thinner, never with lacquer or cellulose thinner. It is non-toxic and non-flammable.

The color

F-15 Dark Grey (FS 36176) is the darker of the two grays of the Mod Eagle scheme, in which F-15 Eagle fighters have been painted since the late 1980s. Combined with the lighter gray (FS 36251) it creates a low-contrast two-tone camouflage with the darker areas above all on the spine and the leading sections. On a model it is the key to the recognizable look of a modern Eagle.

Use

• Airbrush in thin coats on the darker areas of the scheme.
• Thinned with water or with AK acrylic thinner, not with lacquer thinner.
• Combine it with the lighter Mod Eagle gray for accurate two-tone camouflage.
• Spray the soft transitions at reduced pressure and with less thinning.

Who it is for

For modelers of modern F-15 Eagles in the Mod Eagle scheme.

A water-based acrylic: non-toxic and non-flammable, but work with good ventilation even so. It is not part of a model.
