Flexible Stencils - HEXAGONS S (6mm)

A flexible stencil with a fine 6 mm grid of hexagons

A Green Stuff World masking stencil of thin flexible plastic with a regular honeycomb of hexagons 6 mm in size. This is not a part of a model but an aid for painting. The letter S in the name designates the smaller cell size within the line, in which larger variants of the same pattern also come out.

A finer cell, a finer result

A six-millimeter hexagon comes across on a model as a fine technical structure and does not overpower the silhouette. It suits smaller areas, wargaming miniatures, sci-fi armor and panels, where a large grid would look coarse. The flexibility of the material makes it possible to press the stencil even onto a curved surface.

Use

• The base has to be dry, cured and degreased.
• Press the stencil down over its whole area; on curves hold it or fix it with tape.
• With a fine grid, spray at lower pressure and with heavily thinned paint, so that the cells do not flood.
• Apply in several thin passes, not in one thick coat.
• Take the stencil off immediately after spraying and clean it right away.

Who the stencil is for

For painters of miniatures and wargamers who work with fine geometric patterns, and for modelers of smaller scales. Work with a fine grid is more demanding on pressure and on thinning the paint, so it suits more experienced users of an airbrush.

Paints, an airbrush and masking tape are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Clean the stencil immediately after use, because dried paint clogs the fine grid. Spray in a well ventilated space and protect your airways.
