Fluorescent Red RAL 3026 (17ml)

Real Colors RC837 Fluorescent Red RAL 3026, 17 ml

A modeling acrylic paint from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive, the manufacturer's part number RC837, 17 ml. The name places the shade among the fluorescent reds and refers to number 3026 in the RAL color chart, that is to a signal red with a luminous look.

Where you will use the shade

Fluorescent red belongs on the surfaces that are meant to be seen from a distance: warning stripes, the markings of training and rescue vehicles, elements of airfield and workshop vehicles or conspicuous details on racing machines. It can also be used on figures and diorama accessories, where one element is to draw the eye.

How to work with the paint

• Stir the contents thoroughly before taking paint out, as the pigment settles to the bottom.
• Fluorescent shades cover less well than ordinary paints, so apply them over a white base, which keeps their luminosity best.
• Build the paint up from several thin coats; one heavy coat fills the detail and dries unevenly.
• For thinning and cleaning use the thinner intended for the Real Colors range; the ratio is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
• Check the resulting tone on a test sample, as it looks different over a dark base than over a white one.

Storage and packaging

Close the bottle carefully and store it away from heat and frost. Thickened paint can be thinned down, but check the shade after thinning away from the model.

The package holds one bottle of paint of 17 ml. A thinner, brushes, an airbrush and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
