Insignia White FS 17875 - AIR is an AK interactive modeling acrylic paint from the 3rd generation acrylic range, the AIR subline for aircraft models. It is a water-thinnable acrylic, thinned with water or with acrylic thinner, not with nitro thinner. It is not a kit but a standalone paint in a bottle.
Insignia White is the white of the national insignia, markings and lettering of American aircraft, that is, the white you see in the stars and bars, in the codes on the fuselage and in the captions. The code FS 17875 refers to the US Federal Standard; the first digit 1 in that system denotes a gloss finish, so it is a gloss white. If you need a gloss matching the real subject, clear coat the area with a suitable gloss varnish, as the final degree of gloss on a model is always fine-tuned with the last clear coat.
For modelers who build American aircraft and want to spray the national insignia and lettering through masks instead of using decals, or who need to fine-tune or touch white up. It also serves as a light base under garish colors (yellow, red), which likewise cover poorly on their own.
A modeling paint for modeling use, not a toy and not a kit. Keep out of the reach of children, work in a ventilated room and use a respirator and eye protection when airbrushing. Do not pour paint residue down the drain.
