Kyoukai Senki is a Japanese science fiction series in which large piloted combat machines take center stage. Their visual treatment is more down to earth than the classic Gundam style and closer to present-day military equipment: more angular panels, visible joints and color schemes reminiscent of ground vehicles. Setsuro is one of the machines of this series.
Separate the parts with nippers a little away from the part and level the rest of the gate with a file or a sanding sponge, so that no white mark is left on the colored plastic. Snap the joints home and keep checking that the halves have met without a gap. Pick out the panel lines with a paneliner or a fine pencil and wipe off the excess. A final matte or semi-gloss varnish will unify the surface and remove the plastic sheen. Anyone who wants to go all out can spray the parts before assembly and add wear with a dry brush.
