A set of castings in polyurethane resin representing carved pumpkins with spooky faces. How to work with the castings

• First wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry, because mold release agent stays on them from the mold and neither primer nor paint holds over it.
• Cut the remains of the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the area back; protect your airways while sanding resin, as the dust must not be inhaled.
• Glue with super glue based on cyanoacrylate. Ordinary cement for polystyrene does not dissolve resin and therefore will not join it.
• Apply a primer before painting. Ordinary acrylic then goes over the base: a base coat, a dark wash into the engraved grooves of the face and a dry brush on the raised edges will quickly pick a pumpkin out.
