A light blue modeling shade from the Real Colors range, matching number FS 35414 of the federal standard. A 10 ml bottle.
Responsibility details are not available.
Light Blue is a light blue listed under the number FS 35414. The abbreviation FS refers to the American federal color standard FS 595, that is, a numbered list in which every shade has a fixed place. The first digit of the number carries the degree of sheen, and a three in it means a matte finish. The number is therefore a clearer guide than the name of the shade on its own: there is a whole range of light blues, and markedly different tones hide behind the same wording.
The manufacturer lists the Real Colors range as acrylic and supplies its own thinner for it. The thinning ratio and the recommended way of applying it are stated on the packaging, so follow those instructions. Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before every use, as settled pigment otherwise shifts the tone and the covering power. Apply it in several thin coats and let the surface flash off between them, as one heavy coat fills the relief and hides the panel lines.
Light blues cover worse than dark colors, so lay them over a light surface, ideally over a primer coat. A shade always looks different on a model than in the bottle, so check it on a piece of plastic finished with the same undercoat. Even out the surface under decals with a gloss clear coat, as a white haze will appear under a decal on a matte surface. Close the bottle carefully after work and store it dry and away from frost.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
