The white shade LP-35 Insignia White from the Tamiya LP lacquer line, derived from the white used in national insignia.
Responsibility details are not available.
A white carried under the designation LP-35 and the name Insignia White, that is, an insignia white. The name points to the shade used in national insignia and lettering, and that is why it is not a brilliant white out of the tube but a calmer tone that does not read as a patch of light on a model. That very restraint is an advantage in small scale: the white area does not fight with its surroundings and the insignia stays legible.
Of all shades, white forgives the least. It covers slowly, so more coats will be needed, and every further coat raises the risk of filling in the fine surface relief. Work in thin coats, therefore, and let the surface flash off between them. A light primer is worth having under white; on a dark base the number of coats would multiply for nothing. Dust is the second enemy, as every speck shows on a light surface, so wipe the workspace down before spraying and let the model dry under a cover.
The paint alone is supplied. The thinner, primer, final clear coat and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
