A modeling paint from the LP range by Tamiya, designated LP-71, a gold shade with a light cast toward champagne.
Responsibility details are not available.
LP-71 Champagne Gold is a gold shade that is lighter and softer than a rich yellow gold, closer to the color of champagne. On a model it therefore does not look as garish and it sits better beside dark and chrome surfaces. It comes into its own on decorative features of a body, on wheel hubs, on small interior parts and anywhere a gold surface is only to be suggested.
Stir the bottle well before and during work, because the pigment settles at the bottom and paint that has not been stirred comes out uneven. Apply several thin coats and let the surface set between them; a heavy coat floods the detail and rather suppresses the gold effect. The thinner meant for this range and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging, and follow them when cleaning your tools as well.
Gold shades show every scratch and fingerprint mercilessly, so smooth and degrease the base carefully. On a smooth, glossy base the paint looks richer than on a flat one. Try the shade on a piece of scrap material beforehand, because the result differs noticeably depending on the base and the light. Let the paint dry properly before masking and peel the tape off slowly and at a sharp angle.
Thinner, brushes and a model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
