Responsibility details are not available.
A neutral darker gray from the Real Colors acrylic range by AK Interactive, listed under the designation RC913 and the number FS 36118. Gunship Grey is the established name of this gray, and in modeling instructions it appears with modern low-visibility military finishes. The FS number refers to the American color chart against which the paint is compared across brands. The volume of the jar is 17 ml according to the name.
Grays of this band are used on a model as the main color of the upper surfaces, as the darker field of two-color finishes and on parts that are meant to stay sober but not black: the insides of air intakes, panels around exhausts, racks and transport containers. It takes both a darker mixture to bring out the panel lines and a light lightening of the centers of the panels.
Wash and degrease the model, so that the coat holds and does not come away with the masking tape. Stir the jar thoroughly before use. Lay it on in several thin coats with a short pause between them. A saturated gray covers quickly, so it is easily laid on more heavily than needed and floods the fine engraving of the panel lines. Thin it with the thinner made for this range of paints; the thinning ratio and the pressure in the airbrush are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For modelers of modern aircraft and ground vehicles who paint with an airbrush and with a brush. It is a shade on its own; thinner, primer and varnish are not included, unless stated otherwise.
