An accessory set for the model of the Japanese submarine I-400, intended according to the name for the Fujimi 421195 kit. The model itself is not included.
Responsibility details are not available.
The submarine I-400 was the largest submarine of the Second World War, and the Imperial Japanese Navy built her with a clear task: to carry aircraft all the way to the American coast. On deck she therefore carried a watertight hangar for three machines and a catapult from which they took off. Only three units of this class were completed and none of them saw action. After the surrender the Americans took them away for examination and then sank them. The enormous hull with the hangar makes I-400 one of the most conspicuous submarines that can be built.
It is an accessory for a model of the submarine, not the kit itself. The name names the Fujimi 421195 kit, so the set is aimed at exactly that one. A list of what is in the package is given in the manufacturer's instructions; before you start, compare the parts with the model so that the outlines fit.
The set will be appreciated by modelers who build Japanese submarines and want the model to look truer than in the base form out of the box. The model of the submarine, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
