Pale Green is a pale, faded green, carried in the Federal Standard 595 chart under the number 34227. The three at the start belongs to the flat group of the chart and the four in second place to the green family. A high sequence number within the group matches what the name says too: it is one of the light ends of the green scale.
Pale green tones serve in two ways. Firstly as a shade in their own right where a surface is meant to look bleached, and secondly as a brightening color sprayed into the middle of panels as a hint of fading. In the second case a very thin coat is enough, or the area looks dusty rather than faded. It proves worthwhile to stay in the middle of the areas and leave the edges in the original, darker tone.
Wash and degrease the area before painting. Light shades cover less well than dark ones, so over dark plastic expect more thin coats, or spray a light base first. Stir the bottle every time you come back to it, as sediment shows most with light pigments. For brightening, thin the paint more than usual and spray at lower pressure, and the transition will then have no hard edge. The manufacturer states the thinning ratio in the instructions.
For modelers who work with graded shades and need the light end of the green scale tied to a chart number. The package holds one bottle of paint of 17 ml, and the thinner and other accessories are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
