The photo-etch bending tool (Photoetch Bending Tool) from AK Interactive is a modeling tool, not a kit. It is used for precise, straight bending of the small photo-etched parts commonly added to plastic models - railings, grilles, clamps, small sheet metal accessories. This version is the compact variant with a single clamping screw, made of quality steel.

Use

• Clean the etched part and place it between the plates of the tool exactly at the line of the bend.
• Tighten the clamping screw so that the part is held firmly.
• Fold the free edge with your fingers or with the blade supplied to the angle you need - a crisp, straight edge without waviness is the result.
• Suitable for straight bends along the length of an edge; for very large parts choose the bigger model with two screws.

Who it is for

For modelers who work with photo-etched parts on aircraft, vehicles, ships and figures and want clean, repeatable bends. More advanced builders for whom bending by hand with tweezers is not enough will appreciate it most.

This is a tool, not a model. The blade and the edges are sharp - work carefully and keep it out of the reach of children. Paints, photo-etch and a model are not included.
