AMMO PLW Dark Green Grey (Panel Line Wash): enamel panel line wash, 35 ml

A ready-mixed enamel (solvent-based) wash from AMMO intended to accentuate panel lines and engraved detail. Its very thin consistency lets it run by capillary action into grooves and seams, flow around rivets and hatches and leave a subtle shadow in them. The excess is wiped off the smooth areas, so the darker tone stays only where it belongs, in the recesses.

Use

The dark green-gray shade is meant for weathering dark green camouflage; it suits a darker base where the shadow is to stay discreet.
It is applied with a brush straight into the engraved lines, where it runs in by capillary action.
Once dry, the excess is wiped off with a cloth or a brush moistened in odorless enamel thinner (mineral spirits).
It also suits ships, military vehicles, trains and sci-fi subjects.

It is brushed along the engraved lines and seams, where it runs in by capillary action and accentuates them. Once dry, the excess is wiped off the surfaces with a cloth or a brush moistened in odorless thinner, so that the darker shadow stays only in the recesses.

It is an enamel (solvent-based) wash. It is thinned and removed with odorless thinner for enamel paints (mineral spirits), never with water.

Best over a smooth flat or semi-gloss surface protected by a clear coat, or over acrylic paint. Do not apply it over fresh enamel, as the solvent could attack it.

Dark green-gray is tuned for dark green camouflage, where the shadow in the panels is meant to stay discreet. The shade of a wash is generally chosen to match the color of the base.
