A styrene (polystyrene) profile shaped like the letter T from Plastruct. The section is 4.8 mm high (H) and 4.8 mm wide (W), the material is 0.8 mm thick (T) and the bar is 600 mm long (L). It is a modeling semi-finished material, not a kit. T-profiles stand in for girders, frames, door and window jambs and structural members on mock-ups of buildings, bridges and ships and in dioramas.
The profile is parted with a sharp blade or a modeling saw and the cuts are leveled by sanding. It is glued with ordinary cement for polystyrene or with cyanoacrylate glue. The material can be painted like plastic models, best with a primer before the top coats.
