PS-10 Purple is a purple spray paint from the PS range of the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya. The whole PS range is developed for clear bodies in polycarbonate, that is, in Lexan, of the kind used on radio-controlled car models. Chemically it is a lacquer paint, not a water-thinnable acrylic, so it is not mixed or thinned with acrylic or enamel ranges. The volume of the can is 100 ml.
The PS range is not intended for ordinary plastic kits in polystyrene, because the lacquer solvent can attack the surface of the model. Tamiya has other spray ranges for kits. Richer shades over a clear base need more coats, so allow for that when planning the backing color. Always make a test first on an offcut of the body.
For builders and drivers of radio-controlled cars who paint Lexan bodies, and for modelers looking for a rich purple shade on a polycarbonate base.
A flammable aerosol can under pressure. Use in a well-ventilated space or outdoors, away from open flame and sources of sparks. Protect it from sunlight and from temperatures above fifty degrees, do not breathe the vapors and keep it out of the reach of children.
