A paint from the 3rd Generation Acrylics AIR range for aircraft models, a water-thinnable acrylic in a 17 ml bottle. Dark Sea Grey matches the BS381C/638 standard and is a medium-dark cool gray. It sprays like a lacquer, is thinned with water or with acrylic thinner and is non-toxic and not flammable.
Dark Sea Grey became one of the main postwar camouflage shades of the RAF. In the typical scheme it was combined with a dark green on the upper surfaces over a light gray underside, and it was worn by a number of postwar jets and by naval aircraft. The shade is a little lighter than Extra Dark Sea Grey.
