A modeling paint in the shade RLM 84 Graublau, that is, gray-blue, from the range of AMMO of Mig Jimenez. A shade for German aircraft of the end of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The German word Graublau means gray-blue, and that is exactly how the shade reads: light, cold and unremarkable to look at until you set it next to a pure blue. The designation RLM 84 became established for the light gray-blue tone of the last period of German wartime aviation. Its exact form is still debated among researchers, so the final impression on a model is always judged in relation to the other shades on the machine.
It is reached for by modelers building German aircraft of the last months of the war. The shade is associated above all with lower surfaces and with late finishes applied in a hurry. Given how light it is, it also suits brightening larger areas when shading, where you mix the base color with a tiny amount of a lighter tone.
Shake the contents thoroughly before use; the pigment settles at the bottom and unmixed paint has a different shade from the one on the swatch. Apply it in thin coats and let each one set, as a thick coat fills fine engraving. The thinner intended for this line and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; reach for it for cleaning the tools as well. Try the shade first on a piece of scrap plastic painted with the same base as the model, as it looks different over a light and a dark base.
Thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
