A red-brown from the German RAL standard, carried under the number 8012. Compared with ordinary brown tones it has a noticeable red cast, so it stands out on a model even over a small area. It comes into its own on the brown parts of camouflage schemes, on surfaces with a hint of rust and on small elements meant to be set apart from their surroundings by a warm tone.
The shade belongs to the Real Colors range from AK Interactive, that is to a palette derived from period color charts. It is an acrylic paint intended for modeling. The volume of the bottle is 17 ml.
Builders of ground equipment who need a warm brown for a camouflage scheme will reach for it, as will modelers of figures and accessories, where a red-brown suits leather and wooden elements. It also serves as a component when mixing shades of your own.
