Rot (Rotbraun)-Red Brown RAL 8013 17 ml.

The color

A brown from the German RAL standard, carried under the number 8013. The shade is defined by exactly that number, because the wording of the names is very similar among the neighboring brown tones of the range. When choosing, therefore, go by the standard number and not by the name alone. The paint suits the brown areas of camouflage, gear and small parts meant to be set apart from their surroundings by a darker warm tone.

From the Real Colors range

The shade belongs to the Real Colors range from AK Interactive, that is to a palette derived from period color charts. It is an acrylic paint intended for modeling. The volume of the bottle is 17 ml.

Painting tips

• Stir the paint thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom.
• Apply thin coats and let the area dry between them, as one heavy coat clogs fine relief.
• Darker brown shades stand out over a lighter surface; over a dark base they merge with it.
• Soften the boundary between the brown and the neighboring tone with lower pressure and a greater distance of the airbrush.
• Choose the thinner, the thinning ratio and the cleaning of tools according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.

Who it is for

Builders of ground equipment and accessories who put a camouflage scheme together from several brown tones will appreciate it, as will modelers of figures, where brown covers gear and small items of equipment. It also serves as a component when mixing shades of your own.
