RUSSIAN UNIFORM – QUICK GEN COLOR

Russian Uniform - an AK interactive acrylic paint, the Quick Gen Color range

Russian Uniform is a muted khaki shade from the Quick Gen Color range, a water-thinnable acrylic for figures and gaming models. The name is the manufacturer's designation of the shade. The tone is grayed and unassertive, which is an advantage in a uniform color: it does not shout and lets the shadows and the details come through.

How to tell a paint at the end of its life

An acrylic in a well-closed bottle lasts for years, but one day it is done. You can tell by several signs. An elastic skin forms on the surface, which tears into pieces when stirred and never dissolves again. The paint draws out into threads behind the stirring stick instead of running off it. After stirring, lumps remain that will not crush between your fingers. And sometimes a sour smell appears that was not there before. There is no point thinning a paint like that, because a binder that has broken down will not come back together. When the damage is only on the surface, the skin can be lifted out carefully with tweezers and the rest strained through a fine sieve, but that is a postponement, not a repair. A paint in that state no longer lays down a smooth coat and the flaw shows immediately on the figure.

Use

• Khaki uniforms, blouses, trousers and canvas equipment on figures.
• A base coat under highlighting with a lighter sand tone.
• It is applied with a brush, and with the airbrush once thinned.
• It takes a brown wash that draws out the folds of the cloth.

Who the paint is for

For figure modelers and players who paint larger groups of figures and need an unassertive base khaki.

Store it in a closed bottle out of the reach of children, do not inhale the aerosol while spraying and work in a ventilated room.
