The Fengda BD-208 airbrush is a modeling airbrush for applying paint to models, figures and other small work. It is connected to compressed air from a compressor.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a tool, not a kit and not a paint. An airbrush is an airbrush with its own paint cup that uses compressed air to atomize thinned paint into a fine mist. Compared with a brush it gives a smooth surface with no brush strokes and even covering coats, and it allows the soft transitions that cannot be created by hand. The BD-208 belongs to the Fengda range of modeling airbrushes.
The airbrush alone is not enough. You need a source of compressed air, that is a compressor, and a hose with the matching fitting. The paint has to be thinned to the right consistency, otherwise the nozzle clogs up. Always use the thinner recommended by the manufacturer of the particular paint, because acrylics, enamels and lacquers each have a different chemistry and do not get along with one another. Flush the airbrush after every session and from time to time take it apart and clean it thoroughly, including the needle and the nozzle. Dried paint in the nozzle is the most common reason for an airbrush to stop spraying.
For modelers moving from the brush to spraying, and for those looking for another airbrush to add to their set. It suits plastic models, figures and small artwork alike.
Work in a well-ventilated area or in a spray booth with extraction and use a respirator. Atomized paints and thinners are harmful to health and many of them are flammable. The compressor, the hose and the paints are not included with this item, unless stated otherwise.
