It is material for building your own parts, for conversions and for repairs, not a finished part: you cut the profile to the length you need and use it where you need a straight edge, a stiffener or a trim. The cross section is rectangular, so the profile sits flat on a surface as well as on edge as a rib.
The profile is divided with a sharp knife: draw the blade several times along the same score and break the material, then level the cut with a file or with fine abrasive paper. ABS is tougher and less brittle than ordinary modeling polystyrene, so it will take slight bending as well as sanding to shape. When bending, count on the plastic springing partly back, and rather secure the shape with a glued joint. Try the glue on an offcut, because liquid cements for plastic react to ABS differently depending on the brand, while super glue holds reliably. Before painting, degrease the surface and apply filler or primer, otherwise the paint anchors less well on smooth plastic.
For modelers who fill in missing details and build their own parts, for builders of dioramas and scale buildings, for railway modelers and for figure modelers who need an accurate straight edge. It serves just as well in repairs of damaged parts and in making simple jigs, templates and spacers. A length of 350 mm means that even a longer straight element will come out of one piece without joining.
Safety: cut on a support and away from your body, do not breathe in the sanding dust and work with glues in a ventilated room.
