A Mr.Paint modeling paint in a sulfur yellow shade to the German RAL standard, number 1016.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sulfur yellow tone is listed in the German RAL standard under the number 1016. The RAL system describes shades by a four-digit number whose first digit sets the color group; a one means the group of yellow tones. The number therefore does not stand for any yellow at all but for a particular shade described by the standard, which can be looked up again at any time and repeated precisely. Sulfur yellow is light and saturated, with a greenish cast that sets it apart from warmer yellow shades.
RAL is an industrial standard and is at home wherever a finish is ordered from a chart: on construction and agricultural machinery, trucks, the equipment of fire and rescue services, on containers and industrial plant. A striking yellow is used on surfaces that are meant to be seen, that is on warning elements, markings and distinguishing stripes. In a scene and a diorama you will use it on small equipment, signs and tools as well.
Yellow has weaker covering power in itself, so it pays to lay it over a light base, white or light gray. On a dark surface many layers would be needed and fine surface detail would be clogged. Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, because the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply it in thin layers and let each one dry. Thinning, cleaning the tools and the spraying pressure follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
The paint alone is supplied. Thinner, a base coat, a final varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
