About product

AMMO Tan for 3 Tone Camo (an Enamel Filter)

The Tan for 3 Tone Camo filter from AMMO of Mig Jimenez is a ready-made enamel (solvent-based) product for finely adjusting the shade of a painted model. It is not an opaque paint and not a wash that flows into engraving but a filter that shifts the tone of a whole area. The tan shade is tuned for three-tone camouflage, that is for vehicles and equipment in modern three-color schemes, which it gives a warmer and unified cast. It comes in a bottle holding about 35 ml and is ready to use.

Use

  • Applied with a dampened brush in a thin coat onto a matte or semi-gloss base, without flooding the surface
  • It warms and unifies the color fields of a three-tone camouflage, brings it to life and gives it depth
  • It can be layered and the effect built up gradually
  • Thinned and cleaned with enamel thinner (mineral spirits), not with water

Who it is for

For modelers of modern military vehicles in three-tone camouflage who want to unify the shades and get more realistic transitions.

An enamel product containing solvents: flammable, use in a well-ventilated area and keep away from children.

FAQ

Modern three-tone camouflage on military vehicles. The tan filter unifies the shades and warms them slightly.

Enamel (synthetic) thinner, for example mineral spirits. It must not be thinned with water.

It is an enamel filter. It only shifts the shade of a whole area; it has no covering power and does not flow into engraving in a targeted way.
