A universal photo-etched template in steel (STEEL) from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a kit but a modeling aid - a thin steel sheet with precisely etched oval and oblong openings in various sizes. It serves as a guide when scribing and making panel openings, access covers and hatches. The steel version is harder and more durable than brass, takes the pressure of a knife or a scriber better and keeps a sharp edge longer. The set has no set scale.
It will be appreciated by more advanced modelers who often rescribe panel lines and access covers and want a durable template for repeated use. The steel version is practical above all for heavier scribing into harder plastic and for work where the knife is run repeatedly along the same edge. Oval and oblong shapes can thus be scribed accurately and symmetrically.
