Tiger I (Eastern Front) is a cute distorted kit of the German heavy tank from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. This is not a scale model — the stocky proportions turn a feared machine into a likeable caricature.

A distorted kit from the line of cute models of the Japanese company Fujimi, this time with the German heavy tank Tiger I as its subject, in an Eastern Front version. This is not a scale model: the hull is shortened, the turret enlarged and the whole comes across as a playful caricature. The build is simple and quick, yet the model keeps the characteristic features of the subject — the boxy hull, the massive barrel and the typical running gear with interleaved road wheels.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War, committed from 1942. It carried a gun of 88 mm and thick armor, thanks to which it was among the most feared machines of its day, but it paid for that with high weight, complicated production and unreliability. It appeared first on the Eastern Front and served there for the whole rest of the war; this version refers precisely to the machines from the eastern battlefield.
Separate the parts with nippers and sand the edges lightly. For the Eastern Front, German dark yellow with a simple camouflage suggests itself, while winter machines were often whitewashed in haste — a worn winter coat can be suggested strikingly on a distorted model with a sponge. A fine wash will bring out the detail, but the playful style also suits clean painting without weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
