Ready-made grass tufts with fibers 5 mm high, supplied in a tube. A scenic accessory for dioramas and model bases.
Responsibility details are not available.
Ready-made grass tufts are the quickest route to vegetation that does not look like a carpet. Each tuft stands on its own and has its own outline, so a landscape can be put together piece by piece and the density varied according to where the eye will go in the story of the diorama. Working with them calls for no static grass applicator and no other equipment.
The fibers measure 5 mm. In the package the tufts are stored in a tube from which they are taken out with tweezers, so they neither go limp nor are lost in being poured from one container to another. Whatever is not used stays in the container and is usable later as well, which pays off with scenic materials, because they are used up little by little.
The best result comes from irregularity: alternate groups of tufts with bare places, set them more densely at the edges of roads and walls and more sparsely in the middle of an open area. Handle the attachment according to the information on the box, because the tufts are supplied with an adhesive underside as well as without one; in the latter case a drop of PVA glue applied with a wooden stick is enough. Once it has dried, trim the fibers with scissors to an uneven height and add a little dry pigment or fine scatter underneath them, so that the tuft does not stay visibly set onto a smooth surface.
They will be appreciated by builders of dioramas, by figure painters who are finishing bases and by railway modelers. They also serve well to cover the places where a model sits down onto its surface. Glue, pigments and a surface are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
