The brown-violet Brown Violet RLM81 FS34083 from Lifecolor is a shade for modelers who do not want their large areas to be one color and are looking for a tone to play a hull up with.
Responsibility details are not available.
A muted brown-violet shade from the acrylic range of the Italian brand Lifecolor. The name refers to the German aviation shade RLM 81 and is completed by the number of the American FS34083 color standard.
The extensive area of a ship's hull has one lasting problem: it is uniform. A real hull, though, is never uniform, because rust, seawater, repaired plates and water running from the anchors all mark it. A brown-violet tone is rewarding for this work, because it stands exactly between brown and a cool shadow, so it can be used both for a gentle glaze over individual plates and for suggesting the places where the paint on the steel has aged most. It is always laid on sparingly and rather in several weak steps than once heavily, because the aim is a shift of tone, not a new area of color.
For modelers who work with shading and want a tone to hand that is neither purely brown nor purely gray.
Store out of the reach of children, and ventilate when spraying.
