The neutral Grey FS36329 from Lifecolor is a mid gray with no pronounced undertone. On utility machinery you will use it for chassis, frames and every surface meant to stay inconspicuous.

On a model of utility machinery gray is the hardest-working color, even though nobody admires it. Chassis, frames, axles, brackets, concrete hoppers and a crowd of other parts need a tone that draws no attention and lets the bodywork come through. A mid gray with no pronounced warm or cool undertone handles that role, because it can be pushed either way without trouble. The number in the name refers to the American Federal Standard color standard.
The underside of a vehicle is the most heavily loaded part of a model, so a neutral gray serves here mainly as a starting tone. Add a darker shadow into the hollows and around the welds, then a lighter cast on the edges that rub against the load or the road. Dust comes last of all and its color follows the setting: on a building site it is gray-white, in a field yellow-brown, in a city rather dark. On concrete machinery it also pays to suggest deposits of dried mix; a few irregular light patches on the hopper and the chute do more for believability than the whole elaborate finish of the bodywork.
For modelers of trucks, trailers and construction machinery who need a reliable neutral gray as a base for further layers.
Store the paint out of the reach of children and work in a well-ventilated space.
