The light gray-green shade Lifecolor Grigio Verde Chiaro Regio Esercito Matt carries Italian military nomenclature, and on a model it serves as a light surface on which every scrape and every rust trace shows.

A light finish is merciless to the modeler. It hides no inaccuracy, but at the same time it offers the best stage for damage: on a light gray-green surface a dark scrape and a small rust dot are legible at once. The matte shade named Grigio Verde Chiaro with the Italian designation Regio Esercito is exactly such a surface.
On a light ground it pays to reverse the usual logic. Instead of light scrapes into a dark finish, dark glimpses of metal are drawn here, and only afterward is rust added to them. A scrape should have a dark core and around it a thin, slightly darker rim of the original color, as though the paint had lifted at the edge. Then set the rust on sparingly; on a light surface it carries several times the visual weight it does on a dark one.
The shade is intended for modelers of Italian vehicles and for everyone who wants a model on which the damage is legible even from a distance. A light surface is also rewarding for photographing finished work.
Keep out of the reach of children and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
