The natural shade of the leather of equipment, bags and boots is handled by the acrylic paint Italian WWI Uniforms Cuoio Naturale from Lifecolor.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Italian cuoio means leather and naturale natural. The shade from the Lifecolor figure range is a water-based acrylic paint and within the period set it stands for the leather parts of kit, that is belts, straps, holsters and footwear.
Uniform cloth of this period holds a subdued band and offers little room for pronounced differences. Leather is therefore the only area on a figure where contrast may really sound. A warm natural tone beside the gray-green and khaki brings the whole figure alive and at the same time tells the viewer how the equipment runs across the chest and back. Even here, though, moderation applies: leather should articulate a figure, not turn it into a colorful whole.
It will be sought out by figure painters and makers of diorama scenes who need one reliable natural leather to go with subdued fabric shades. It will also serve on saddlebags, the leather equipment of horse harnesses and wooden handles, where the tone should be warm but not rusty. It serves just as well on the small accessories of a scene, from the straps of crates to the bands of canteens.
Keep out of the reach of children, ventilate while painting and do not leave the paint open.
