Lifecolor UA626 Navy Blue 5-N is an acrylic paint in the dark blue naval color of the US Navy, in a 22 ml bottle.
Responsibility details are not available.
The rich dark blue of the US Navy of the Second World War in a bottle holding twenty-two milliliters. The designation 5-N is the period number of the shade from the system out of which the individual camouflage measures were composed. It is the darkest of the blue naval tones, the color that on a model forms the lower bands of the hull and the surfaces closest to the waterline. The paint is acrylic, thinned with water or with the brand's own thinner, and is applied by brush or airbrush.
Shake the bottle thoroughly, as the pigment settles to the bottom. For brushwork the paint is used practically as it is; for an airbrush, thin it to the consistency of milk. Two things hold true for the darkest shades: they cover less well than light colors, so expect several thin coats, and on a scaled-down model they look darker still than in reality, because the effect of the layer of air is missing. Large areas are therefore often worth lightening slightly, so that the model does not look black.
For builders of ship models, for modelers of the wartime US Navy and for anyone who builds a color scheme from period shade numbers.
Keep the paint out of the reach of children, ventilate when spraying and protect your airways. Close the bottle carefully after use.
