Plaster on a wall is the background in a diorama that ropes and tarpaulins lean against, and the acrylic shade Plaster Wall from Lifecolor is intended for precisely that.
Responsibility details are not available.
In a diorama plaster is the quiet area that does not push itself forward but decides how everything else comes out. Coiled ropes lean against a wall, sacks and canvas are set down at its foot, and against its light background the dark silhouettes of equipment stand out. Plaster Wall from the Lifecolor acrylic range is a shade for precisely this role: the light, gray-pulled color of a plastered wall.
Why the shade of a wall is so sensitive
A wall takes up a large area, so even a slight deviation of tone is visible. Too warm a shade will pull a scene toward yellow, too cool a one will freeze it. A neutral plaster color, on the other hand, works as a ground that will take any toning, from rain traces under windows through dust at the foot of a wall to the dark marks of damp in the corners. A wall moreover has a different value above and below: the upper parts tend to be brightened, while the lower ones are pulled toward gray by splashing water.
For diorama makers, builders of buildings and modelers who build a setting around vehicles and figures. A water-based acrylic paint, for the brush and the airbrush alike; for larger areas spraying is more suitable, so that the tone stays even.
Keep out of the reach of children. Stir the contents before use and ensure ventilation when spraying.
