A Lifecolor UA778 modeling paint from the group of wood tones, intended for the wooden areas of models, dioramas and figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paint from the Lifecolor range carried under the designation UA778. It belongs among the wood tones, that is among the shades with which boards, gun stocks, crates, barrels, gangways and other wooden parts are colored on a model. The neighboring numbers of the same range cover further shades of wood from light to dark, so they can be put side by side.
On the decks of ships, on the stocks and grips of weapons, on wooden cargo beds and the walls of huts, on furniture and crates in a diorama and on the wooden parts of vehicles. It also serves well as an intermediate tone: if you have wood painted with only one color it looks flat, whereas a second close shade on the edge of a board or in a lengthwise brush stroke creates the impression of wood grain.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles to the bottom. Wood is built up in layers: first a continuous base, then a darker tone into the seams and finally lighter strokes along the length of the grain. Always draw the brush along the grain, not across it. Apply thinly and let a coat dry before you add the next. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; for an airbrush more thinning is needed than for a brush. Rinse the tools right after work, as a dried film is removed considerably worse. Finished wood tends to be grateful for a dark coat run into the seams, because only the shadow between the boards separates one from the other.
The delivery contains the shade stated. The model, thinner, brushes and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
