UA839 - Rosso Fuoco Satin

Rosso Fuoco Satin, a Lifecolor acrylic paint

Rosso Fuoco Satin is an acrylic modeling paint from the Lifecolor brand. The Italian name corresponds to fire red, that is, a rich and warm red with an orange cast. The word Satin in the name states the gloss level, so once dry the surface stays satin, neither mirror-glossy nor wholly matte. The shade is part of a coherent range intended for the finishes of railroad vehicles, where pronounced reds appear on passenger and freight cars alike.

Use

• A rich red works above all as an accent area or a stripe, not as an overall ground.
• A satin surface keeps the color readable even on small parts, where a gloss would create distracting reflections.
• It goes with the light gray and beige tones from the same range, because they are conceived as a mutually matched palette.
• On small areas it is practical to apply the paint with a brush; with larger parts spraying proves itself.

Who the paint is for

The paint is intended for modelers who build railroad subjects and are looking for a red shade matching the character of the whole range. It will find use in dioramas, on vehicles or accessories too, where a warm red with a unified gloss level is needed. The name does not define a particular vehicle or period, so go by your own reference and by the color tone.

Keep out of the reach of children. Ensure sufficient ventilation, use respiratory protection when spraying and protect your eyes from the paint getting in.
