Responsibility details are not available.
Helo Drab is a flat dark green-gray tone listed in the Federal Standard FS under the number 34031. The number in this system is not arbitrary: the leading digit refers to the sample of the standard, and for the actual finish the manufacturer's data applies, so this is a shade described by a standard rather than a freely mixed green. The Helo Drab designation goes with the single-color finishes of US Army helicopters, where the same tone covers the fuselage, the tail boom and the rotor system.
It does most of its work on models of helicopters in American service, because there it is not a supplementary shade but an overall finish. A muted green with no cast toward brown also comes into its own elsewhere, though: on ground vehicles, on crates, jerrycans and transport containers, or as a dark base that you then bring to life on large surfaces with lightening and shading.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before spraying, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply it in several thin coats instead of one heavy one, otherwise the fine surface detail will be lost under the paint. The base should be clean and degreased; a primer will also even out how absorbent the plastic, the filler and the accessories are, so that the shade comes out the same over the whole model. A flat surface is easily burnished to a shine by rubbing, so hold the finished model by its edges and give the area under the decals a gloss clear coat beforehand. Thinning, spraying pressure and cleaning the tools follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
The paint is supplied on its own. Thinner, primer, final varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
