A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range, the manufacturer's part number HTK-C018, the shade US Olive Drab in the late version. Intended for models of American military vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
Olive Drab is the olive green the US Army used in the Second World War on vehicles, artillery and equipment. Its appearance shifted during the war, which is why paint makers distinguish an early and a late version of the shade. This bottle carries the late version, that is, the form of the shade from the later part of the period. Judge the exact color against the manufacturer's color reference and the label, as no verbal description can replace a shade, and bear in mind that real vehicles always looked somewhat different after exposure to sun and dust than a fresh coat of paint.
The paint belongs to the Orange Line range from Hataka. Choose the thinner intended for this range and keep to the thinning ratio and the method of application stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, otherwise the pigment stays settled at the bottom and the shade drifts. Apply several thin coats with a pause between them, as one heavy coat fills the engraving and wipes out the fine detail. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand.
It suits models of American vehicles and anywhere you need an olive base in its later form. Work in a well-ventilated space and close the bottle carefully after decanting, so that the paint does not thicken.
Thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is stated on the packaging.
