Wilderness Fields with bushes - Early Summer

Grass foliage with bushes from AMMO of Mig Jimenez in an early-summer finish. It is not a kit and not a paint: it is ready-made scenic material for an overgrown area of a diorama. Compared with the spring version of the same range the shade is warmer and less saturated green, the way grass looks once it has begun to dry out. Both versions are made separately, so you can place the scene in the season you want.

Why the vegetation decides the look

A viewer takes in the plant cover on a diorama before the vehicles: it sets the season and shows how long the place has gone untended. Low grass combined with bushes also breaks up the flat plane of the base and gives the scene a depth that scatter material on its own cannot reach.

Use

• Overgrown fields, field margins, embankments and the edges of dirt tracks
• Covering the transition between the base and the model or between two ground textures
• Bonded with PVA glue or thinned white glue; super glue only in spots
• Try the placement dry first, because once it has set the position is hard to change
• Fine-tune the shade with a light misting of thinned acrylic paint or with a fine pigment

Who it is for

For builders of dioramas and vignettes with a summer subject, for civilian scenes and for tabletop gaming terrain. It combines well with ground textures and with the low vegetation of the same range.

The dimensions of the sheet or the package, the number of bushes and the exact height of the growth are not stated here; check them against the manufacturer's information.
