Xtreme Metal Polished Aluminium — a metallic paint for the airbrush

The metallic shade of polished aluminum from the Xtreme Metal range by AK interactive. The range is built on a lacquer base and comes ready to spray, so it is not thinned with water. The shade is aimed at aircraft with bare metal surfaces, at panels and areas that are meant to look like polished duralumin, and at the small metal parts of equipment. How metallic the result finally looks is decided largely by the surface beneath, which is why metallics are sprayed at the end of a build.

Use

• bright metal surfaces of the fuselage and wings on aircraft without camouflage paint
• differentiating individual panels by applying the same shade in coats of differing thickness
• small metal parts, muzzles and strips on equipment and on figures
• stir the paint thoroughly before spraying, as the metal pigment settles at the bottom of the bottle
• spray thin coats onto a smooth, preferably gloss black surface and let them dry

Who it is for

For modelers who spray with an airbrush and want a convincing metal surface without polishing pigments. Bear in mind that metallics are harder to mask and harder to overspray: masking tape can lift a fresh coat and a clear coat applied over the top can dull the metallic sheen. So apply them as the last coat of color and mask as gently as possible.

The paint is intended for the airbrush. Work in a ventilated room, use respiratory protection and keep out of the reach of children. The safety instructions are on the package.
